2012 - 2022

Joshua Marc Bryant was born on 15th April 1992 and died tragically in a car accident on 27th April 2012 he was just 20 years of age. Josh started his life at Blackmoor Stepping Stones Nursery and was an exceptionally loud and confident little chap even at the age 3 - then after outgrowing that in both spirit and body he went up to St Mathews Primary School where he again made his mark – prestigiously guiding the football team to success at the Hampshire Cup Final held at St Mary’s, Southampton. Josh could do nearly 400 keep-i-uppies – something which must have caught the eye of Portsmouth Football Club whose Academy he was soon scouted to join. But after weighing up the options he decided that fame, fortune and fast women would have to wait....Well at least until secondary school anyway – School days at Mill Chase Community College he enjoyed very much – perhaps less for the learning and more for the girls and his mates....But whilst not academically interested Josh was no fool – for anybody that knew or even met him for a moment you could see that spark, that drive, that speed of thought and above all that infectious energy that radiated from his smile. His character was a gift and well guided would have undoubtedly gone on to make him a great success in all that he did. But albeit Josh burned briefly he certainly burned brightly. By the age of 20 he had literally travelled the globe and been to places some of us could only dream of: Majorca with me,dad and Max his beloved brother. Family camping holidays in Salcombe,Turkey,Egypt,South Africa (twice for good measure – once just with Max for cousin Marcus’ wedding), DisneyLand with Nanna and Pampa, Qatar with myself and Max to visit Auntie Jean and Uncle Peter with whom he always had a special bond and of course Lanzarote which is where he worked last summer and was due to go again this summer - a place which certainly had captured a little part of his heart. He really was a true jetsetter and its really the sun and good times that charactise him best. But we will all have different and unique memories of Josh that when we close our eyes bring him closest to us all and back to life. Perhaps from Granny and Grandad it will be his unstoppable appetite for Granny’s food and eating endless sandwiches happily in front of them or perhaps from his mates it will be that unrepeatably great night out. For those unfortunate enough to see his 'wobble dance' it will be that that you’ll close your eyes to picture. What ever it is cherish it and hold it tight in the weeks, and months and years ahead because whilst Josh has gone in body he most certainly has not left us in spirit. I leave you with one more amusing memory of Josh. When questioned once by the Police he was asked how best he would describe himself …. He sat and thought about the answer before arriving at this: "Good Looking?"....!!!! Josh as a son, a brother, a grandchild, a nephew, a cousin and a dear friend you are missed and loved immensely.
